Japan enjoys four distinct seasons. The best seasons to visit are Spring and Autumn, especially March to May and September to November, as the weather tend to be optimal. Winter brings on occasional snow while summer is usually uncomfortably humid for many visitors. On the other hand, you can witness some of the best cherry blossoms and fall foliages here in spring time from late March to April and fall between October and November, respectively.

Mt. Fuji (World Heritage Site) Drive 2 hours from Tokyo Central Area
Introduction
Mount Fuji, located between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures, is the tallest mountain in Japan at 3776m (12,389 ft). UNESCO added Mount Fuji to the World Heritage List in 2013. It normally takes 2 hours from the Tokyo center to Mount Fuji fifth station by car. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone, with snow cap, is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs.

When to Travel
Japan enjoys four distinct seasons. We recommend you plan your trip to the fifth station of Mount Fuji between April and October. Due to the closure of Subaru Line, which leads to the fifth station, you are not able to hike up the mountain from late October to March, but the view of the mountain from a distance is exquisite during this time of the year as crisp air allows a full and clear view of the mountain.

Hakone Drive 1.5 hours from Tokyo Central Area
Introduction
Hakone is known as one of the best spots to view Mount Fuji. Centrally located in the Fuji Hakome Izu National Park, it normally takes 1.5 hours from the Tokyo center. Known for its lively tourism scene and onsen inns (hot spring), Hakone has something for you all year round with its abundance of nature.

Nikko Drive 2.5 hours from Tokyo Central Area
Introduction
Located in Tochigi prefecture, it is located approximately 2.5 hours north of Tokyo. Known for its natural beauty and historic architecture, you can spend an entire day marveling the treasures from by-gone era. The most famous of all is the Nikko Toshogu, recognized by UNESCO as the Wirld Heritage site.
